JEE Advanced 2020 Exam Dates Postponed: As per the latest update, JEE Advanced 2020 Exam dates have been postponed by the exam conducting agency. The revised schedule for IIT JEE Advanced 2020 has been posted on jeeadv.ac.in website which states that the entrance test will now be held on 27th Sept 2020. Earlier, the entrance exam to IITs was scheduled to be held on 23rd Sept 2020; which has been now been postponed till 27th Sept 2020. To confirm the development, the exam agency has also released a detailed notification on its website  jeeadv.ac.in, which provides the revised exam schedule for the same.

NPCIL Online Registration for Executive Trainee Through GATE 2020 Postponed



Nuclear Power Corporation of India is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for the post of Executive Trainee through GATE Score 2020. The total of vacancies has not been released under this NPCIL Recruitment through GATE. The online application was about to start from 26th March 2020 till 9th April 2020But in view of the emergent situation regarding prevention of spread of COVID-19 Virus, the online registration for the post of Executive Trainee 2020 is postponed till further notice.

Nuclear Power Corporation of India in its Official Website released a notice regarding the postponement of the online registration for the post of Executive Trainee (ET) through GATE 2020. It is stated that in view of the emergent situation regarding prevention of spread of COVID-19, the online registration for the post of Executive Trainee 2020 is postponed till further notice.

NTA NEET 2020 Exam Postponed: Finally, NTA has decided to postpone NEET 2020 medical entrance exam. HRD Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank confirmed the developed through a Tweet from his official account. The tweet said that as students and parents will have to travel to appear for NEET 2020 exam, he has directed the national  testing agency to postpone the examination until end of May 2020. He also confirmed that JEE Main 2020 Exam has also been postponed until the last week of May.Today, with a formal notification, NTA has resolved the confusion and uncertainty of the candidates and postponed NEET Exam. According to the notification, NEET 2020 Revised Dates and exam schedule to be declared soon at ntaneet.nic.in.

The All India Council for Technical Education has released a notification regarding the internship programme as part of the technical courses. The notification consists of mandatory guidelines to be followed by the students for internships being conducted across the different institutions during the lockdown initiated by the government. 
The notification released on the official website of AICTE stated that the affiliated institute must follow the social distancing as asked by the central and state government. 
The AICTE has also asked the institutions to order the students not to take up any internship programmes which involve them traveling or come in contact with any outsider. The AICTE has also asked the affiliated colleges to follow the lockdown situation. 
The AICTE has however allowed the instituted to continue with the internships which allow work from home for the students. 
The final year technical education students are required to take part in industrial exposure in the form of internships as part of the curriculum. The internships are conducted to help in creating situations that will help students gather knowledge and apply it to work. However, with the lockdown in place, the chances of completing the internship will be a task.
The AICTE has asked the institutes to deliver challenging problems to the students as part of the internships which can be dealt with from their homes itself. The council is very strict about the orders given and expects all the institutions to follow the same. The colleges are also supposed to score the students based on the problems given and once the situation improves the colleges can expect a revision in the policies.

India Announces Covid-19 relief Package With Rs 1.7 Trillion To ...


Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday announced a relief package to help fight the Covid-19 outbreak. She said the relief package is aimed at shielding the poor during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Here are some of the eight big announcements made by Sitharaman today under the Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Yojana:
For farmers: 8.69 crore farmers will be benefited through the announcement of direct cash transfers. Installment of Rs 2000 will be transferred in their account in the first week of April, said Sitharaman
For MGNREGA workers: The government today increased wages under the scheme by Rs 2000 per worker on average as additional income. This will benefit five crore families.
For poor widows/pensioners/divyang: One-time ex-gratia additional support of Rs 1000 announced. This will be given through direct benefit transfer (DBT) in two installments in three months. This will benefit three crore widows, pensioners and divyang.
For women Jan Dhan account holders: A support of Rs 500 per month for the next three month, so that these women are able to run their household in this hour of crisis. This will benefit 20 crore such women. The money will be transferred through DBT.
For those covered under the Ujjwala scheme: The nearly 8.3 crore BPL families, who were benefited by the scheme, will be provided three cylinders for the next three months.
For women self-help group (SHGs): There are 63 lakh SHGs which benefit seven crore households in the country. The finance minister today announced doubling of collateral-free loans (from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh) for the SHGs.
For organised sector workers: Government of India will pay the EPF controbution - both for employer (12%) and employee (12%) - for the next three months so that nobody suffers due to loss of continuity in the EPFO contribution. This is for all those establishment who have upto 100 employees, and 90 per cent of who draw Rs 15,000 salary per month. The second announcement will benefit 80 lakh employee - the EPFO scheme’s regulations will be amended to allow non-refundable advance of 75 per cent of the amount standing to the credit of the member (for contingency expenditure), or three-month wages, whichever is lower. This will benefit 4.8 crore workers.
For construction workers: There is a welfare fund for construction workers. Sitharaman said today that the central government will direct the state governments to utilise Rs 31,000 crore in that fund to and protect thse workers against any economic disruption. This will benefit 3.5 crore workers.
